Walker County Clerk Carter BrownWalker County Clerk Carter Brown received "clerk of the year" honors for the Northwest Georgia district.
Brown, who was elected in 2008, was nominated by his peers from the 14 counties in the district.
"For me it's deeply humbling," Brown said. "It's once in a career."
