Parker Schilling
Schilling pulled an all-nighter studying at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Then he played golf.
The 21-year-old called it a "study break" when he played 18 holes at Highland Park in downtown Birmingham at sunrise during finals week.
"I keep my clubs with me at all times, and that morning I was the first one on the tee," Schilling said. "I had to play a little golf after studying all night."
Schilling is still relatively new to the game. He picked it up a few years ago when he played baseball at Hixson High School.
"I could kill the ball, but everything went right," Schilling said. "It was a tough transition from baseball to golf. Now my game is a lot better. I shot an 80 a couple weeks ago in Birmingham."
He tried to sneak in 18 holes Monday.
"It looked like it was clearing up, so i thought I could get a round in," said Schilling, who played seven holes Monday before the skies opened up. "I guess not."
