The American College of Health Care Administrators recently bestowed its Honorary Fellowship Award on Beecher Hunter, president of Life Care Centers of America.
Also receiving the ACHCA Facility Leadership Award was Doyle Love, executive director at Life Care Center of East Ridge.
Hunter said the Fellowship Award is a testament to "the enduring partnership" between Life Care Centers of America and the American College of Health Care Administrators.
Hunter has been president of Life Care for more than five years and has worked for the company for 26 years.
Waterhouse PR expands team
Waterhouse Public Relations has expanded its account support team to include public relations strategist Jessica Presley and market research specialist Taylor Hartley.
Prior to joining Waterhouse PR, Presley handled external affairs for Tennessee American Water Co. and internal communications for McKee Foods Corp. in Collegedale.
Hartley will spearhead the agency's marketing research. Hartley previously worked in communications at Unum, developing content for the company's employee intranet site and quarterly magazine.
Presley earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Hartley earned a bachelor of arts from East Tennessee State University.
Kelly earns MBA from Emory
Tim Kelly, president of Kelly Auto Group and chief manager of Southern Honda Powersports in Chattanooga, was recently awarded his master of business administration degree from Goizueta Business School at Emory University through its executive MBA program.
He was honored at graduation with the Organization and Management Faculty Award, the Al Bows Outstanding Executive MBA Achievement Award, and admission to the Beta Gamma Sigma international honor society, which recognizes the top 20 percent of business students worldwide.
Cammon fills 6th Circuit term
The Federal Bar Association has selected Chattanooga attorney Tonya Kennedy Cammon to fill an unexpired term as one of two 6th Circuit vice presidents of the organization.
She will serve in the position until October 2013. The 6th Circuit encompasses Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan.
She is a director in the firm of Grant, Konvalinka & Harrison, P.C. She is also a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, serving for several years on its Public Service Committee, and is a member of the Chattanooga Bar Association. She is married to Barry M. Cammon and is the stepmother of three adult children.
Airport wins Allegiant award
Chattanooga Airport has won Allegiant Air's Outstanding Partner Airport Award.
The award is given to the airport within the Allegiant network that goes above and beyond to support its service and bring down operating costs.
Chattanooga Airport fought a difficult economic and political battle to increase competition for essential ground services, according to Allegiant. The increased competition, a direct result of the hard work from the airport, helps to lower costs and keep its service affordable for the community, the airline said.
Templeton speaks at INVEST event
Lauren C. Templeton, founder of a boutique firm that embraces the value investing techniques of her famous great-uncle, Sir John M. Templeton, is the keynote speaker of the second INVEST Tennessee Equity Conference.
Templeton, president of Lauren Templeton Capital Management, LLC, in Chattanooga, will address public company executives, institutional investors, stock analysts and other investment and business professionals from Tennessee and the region.
INVEST Tennessee is a forum showcasing Tennessee public companies to professional investors.
Dummer wins CPA honor
Randy Dummer has been named a 2011 Outstanding Discussion Leader by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, according to Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough, PLLC.
He was one of a handful of speakers chosen from more than 200 instructors for AICPA. It's the fourth consecutive year Dummer has received the honor.
Dummer received a bachelor of science in accountancy from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, graduating with highest honors. Dummer, wife Megan, and children, Jackson and Cassidy, live in Ooltewah.
Firm earns client service honors
Three attorneys from Chattanooga law firm Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel won prestigious client service awards this month.
William Aiken, Anthony "Bud" Jackson and William Pickering each were named 2012 BTI Client Service All-Stars, recognizing their commitment to client service and their quality of results.
"We are humbled by this honor and truly appreciate our clients because they give us the opportunity to perform at this level," Dana Perry, president and managing partner, said in a statement. "Chambliss will continue to stay committed to providing the very best service and value for our clients."
This is the second consecutive year Pickering and Jackson received the award. Both were recognized for their work in complex litigation. Aiken was recognized for his work in business.
Lindsey gains insurance award
Gail Lindsey, long-term care planning specialist of the Lindsey & Associates agency, was recognized by the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance as the recipient of the industry's 2012 Achievement Award.
"There are currently 40,000 insurance and financial professionals who market long-term care insurance," said Jesse Slome, the Association's executive director. "To be recognized among the leading professionals within a state is certainly an important distinction."
Service Systems add Woodward
Service Systems, LLC, has added Alan Woodward as chief estimator in its Door and Frame Division.
Ron Howard, manager of the division, said the company is fortunate to have the opportunity to add Woodward to its team.

Ark to hold open house June 2
The Ark Pet Spa & Hotel will hold an open house at its new location on June 2 from noon to 2 p.m. at 7760 East Brainerd Road.
The Ark features a 15,000-square-foot facility with four indoor play areas for free play -- all with individual outdoor play yards, a large grooming room with a separate washing and drying room, a spacious cattery and a new training facility.
