DeKalb County man shot during fight with sister

A man in DeKalb County, Ala., is in the hospital after being shot during an argument with his sister.

The man, who police haven't named, was shot in the chest but is expected to survive. No one has been charged yet in the case, said Sheriff Jimmy Harris in a news release.

On Sunday, authorities received a call about 9:30 p.m. for a domestic violence call on County Road 926 in the Kilpatrick area where a brother and sister had been arguing, Harris said.

The sheriff's office will continue interviewing witnesses and plans to interview the man at the Huntsville hospital when he is able to talk, Harris said.

The sheriff said the names aren't being released at this time and the findings will be presented to the district attorney when the investigation is complete.
