A man has been charged with three counts of assault after being accused of grabbing his girlfriend’s hair and dragging her across the yard, according to a police report.

After dragging Quintessa Anderson across the yard, suspect Eric Ray punched her in the face and when her father, Quinton Anderson, came to her aid, Ray gave him a bloody nose, according to police.

Ray then retrieved a gun from a house and threatened to shoot everyone before firing three times into the air, then fired three more times from his car as he drove away the report continues.

Quintessa Anderson followed him across town giving police dispatchers directions as she drove, and officers caught up with Ray in the 5500 block of Brainerd Road, according to police.

He has been charged with assault, domestic assault and aggravated domestic assault. He has been arrested for domestic assault two other times in the past year, though both cases were dismissed.

He will appear before Hamilton County General Sessions Judge Clarence Shattuck on June 21.
