Georgia teen arrested after Dalton armed robbery

A teenager was arrested after a Dalton apartment tenant was robbed of cash at gunpoint.

Marquis Tanner, 18, of Gainesville, has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of cocaine and two charges of selling marijuana, said Dalton police spokesman Bruce Frazier.

On April 4, police responded to a robbery on Cockburn Street, where the victim said a young man he knew as “D” from a former marijuana buy had robbed him.

The victim told police “D” pointed a gun at his head and that, after he handed over $150, “D” fled, Frazier said.
