U.S. Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., today applauded Chattanooga’s Gig Tank entrepreneurship as a step towards not just creating economic growth in the Scenic City, but improving the lives of people across the globe.
Tech experts from around the world traveled to Chattanooga earlier this summer to develop companies that take advantage of Chattanooga’s unrivaled gigabit Internet speeds. Several of those companies are focused in emergency medical response, collaboration between researchers and other humanitarian goals.
“These are all societal problems, and what I see here is people like you all working to solve these problems,” Corker said after visiting with the eight business teams at their Co.Lab headquarters. “What we’ve done here in Chattanooga is something we can replicate at the national level.”
