Whitfield County law enforcement authorities have confirmed that Adolph "Sonny" Neal, suspected of killing his wife and her grandfather last week, has been spotted in Varnell, Ga.
A 911 dispatcher told the Times Free Press that Neal, who goes by Sonny, was seen near the intersection of Highway 2 and Highway 201.
Whitfield County Sheriff's Capt. Rick Swiney said a motorist spotted a man wearing a red shirt and jeans who looked like Neal and called authorities. An intensive search is under way. Officers are searching cars one by one and a helicopter is doing an airborne search.
Neal was identified as a suspect hours after his 9-year-old daughter found her great-grandfather, Don Shedd, dead in the kitchen of their Dawnville, Ga., home on May 24. Police also found the girl's 27-year-old mother, Jessica Neal, dead in the home's pool house.
Shedd and Jessica Neal were buried today.
