Ga. sheriff’s deputy accidentally shoots himself

ALBANY, Ga. — A Terrell County sheriff’s deputy is recovering after accidentally shooting himself in the leg.

Albany police said 21-year-old Jordon Ball was off duty Friday night and unloading his personal handgun when he shot himself in the right leg.

WALB-TV reports that the incident remains under investigation by the Albany Police Department. A phone listing for Ball could not be located.
