Lost teens found safe on Lookout Mountain

Emergency personnel were called to Lookout Mountain on Saturday night to rescue two 14-year-old girls who got lost in the woods behind Craven's House, Lookout Mountain dispatchers said.

The girls used a cellphone to call for rescue about 8 p.m., and searchers had spotty contact with them. The girls were reported safe and uninjured shortly before 9:30 p.m.

Park rangers and Chattanooga police and firefighters also helped with the search, Chattanooga dispatchers said.
