Chattooga County voting machines switched to backup power during brief outage

Voting machines in Chattooga County in North Georgia switched briefly to backup power when there was a 10-minute power outage shortly before 9 a.m. today.

Becky Duke of Election Superintendent Jon Payne’s office said that the outage was brief and the backup systems functioned properly.
