Republican Todd Gardenhire is the next State Senator for District 10, according to the Associated Press.

The 64-year-old financial advisor secured 36,540 votes, nearly 6,000 more than Democratic challenger Andraé McGary’s 30,740 votes, according to reports from all 60 precincts. Gardenhire, who will replace outgoing State Sen. Andy Berke, will represent portions of Hamilton and Bradley counties.
