KNOXVILLE — An East Knox County man suspected of committing rape and a second attempted sexual assault within 24 hours, and deemed a "serial rapist" by investigators, was arrested this morning, authorities said.
Michael Robert Reagan, 38, is charged with aggravated rape and attempted aggravated rape. He is being held in the Knox County jail in lieu of $1 million bond, according to a Knox County Sheriff's Office news release.
The first assault was reported after Reagan picked up a woman just after 4 a.m. Wednesday with the offer of paying for sex, according to the news release.
