Rants

On election night I watched "How It's Made" on the Science Channel rather than "How It's broken" on network TV.

The government that takes from Peter to pay Paul will always have the support of Paul.

Democrats are like Christmas tree lights: All wrapped up in themselves, half don't work and the other half aren't too bright.

GOP tax philosophy: And let those who have much pay taxes at a lower rate than those who have less.

Let's do it like Britain does: They announce an election -- 60 days later everybody votes. Saves a lot of money and 18 months of bull.

I worked and paid into Social Security for 48 years. I think I am entitled to the benefits and the right to complain.

I attended two basketball games at local middle schools and all the players wanted to fight instead of play basketball.

It's a shame that parents aren't teaching sportsmanship to kids; the parents are screaming, "Knock them down," "Shove them," etc.

To the bicycle riders on the Riverwalk, three simple words: "On your left!" Use them please.

Columnist Mark Wiedmer is suggesting that if Vol fans stay home it might cause a coaching change. It hasn't worked for the Mocs!

Wow! The Free Press now has as big an idiot writing editorials as the Times has had for years. What progress!

  1. Would you prefer a government that enriches Peter out of Paul's labors?

  2. Ah, cute snide remark from a Republican. Let's try one: Republicans are like tinsel, looks pretty on the tree, but dangerous if you try to do anything with it. Thanks though, you show that the people complaining that Democrats are rude are just hypocrites.

  3. Not really, they have plenty of bull in Britain.

To the last...Drew must be doing something right.
