A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest for a Sept. 17 fire at Loftis Middle School.
The investigation found multiple fires were set throughout the building, located in Hixson, and cash and electronic equipment were stolen, said Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Janice Atkinson.
Evidence suggests that someone sustained a major injury from a cut sustained during the burglary and arson.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the state Fire Marshal’s Office are assisting in the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call ATF’s 24-hour hotline at 1-888-ATF-FIRE.
