Early this morning, Chattanooga firefighters put out a fire at a house on Standifer Gap Road.

No injuries were reported, according to a news release from Bruce Garner, spokesman for the Chattanooga Fire Department.

About 1 a.m., a call came in about a fire at 2422 Standifer Gap Road. When firefighters arrived, they found no one in the home, said Battalion Chief Fredrick Blake.

The fire, which started in the attached garage, was under control in about 20 minutes, Blake said.

Neighbors told fire investigators that people were moving furniture and other belongings out of the house on Tuesday. Officials said they'll try to find the home's owners.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, Garner said.
