Teen charged with robbing Red Bank Tobacco Mart

Red Bank police arrested a teenager today in connection with an armed robbery at the Tobacco Mart at 2107 Dayton Blvd.

Witnesses told police the suspect was wearing a red bandana and a plaid jacket when he robbed the clerk at gunpoint and fled with cash around 2 p.m. today. Sean Austin Scott, 18, was arrested about 10 minutes later when police found him in the getaway car, a black Nissan sedan, according to Police Chief Tim Christol.

Police recovered all of the stolen cash and the clothes worn by the robber, Christol said. Scott is charged with aggravated robbery and is being held in the Hamilton County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
