Two former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga golfers will play for a chance to earn PGA Tour cards for 2013.

Stephan Jaeger and Jonathan Hodge advanced from the second round of PGA Tour qualifying school from different sites Friday.

The final stage, where PGA Tour cards will be awarded to players for next year, will be held Nov. 28-Dec. 3 at PGA West (TPC Stadium and Nicklaus Tournament).

Those who finish tied for 25th or better in that six-day marathon will play on the PGA Tour next year.

Jaeger, who prepped at Baylor School and led UTC to the NCAA finals in June, shot a 10-under-par 274, which placed him in a tie for 13th place in a field where the top 19 and ties advanced. That group also includes former Rhea County golfer Hunter Green, who got in on the number, 275, at Plantation Preserve in Plantation, Fla.

Former McCallie and UTC golfer Bryce Ledford tied for 36th and did not advance to the final stage from there.

Hodge, who now lives in Jasper, Tenn., shot an 8-under 280 at Redstone Golf Club in Humble, Texas. He tied for 12th place.

Former McCallie and University of Georgia golfer Adam Mitchell is tied for 19th at 3 under heading into the final round at the Panama City Beach location. The top 19 and ties advance to the final stage.
