Middle Tennessee woman dies in blaze

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Fire officials in Middle Tennessee say an elderly woman has died in a mobile home fire.

WSMV-TV eports that crews were called to the scene in Murfreesboro Saturday afternoon. The woman’s identity was not released pending notification of kin.

Fire shift commander Daryl Alexander said there were flames and heavy smoke when firefighters arrived, but the blaze was quickly extinguished.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
