Professional fundraisers honor three

What: The Southeastern Tennessee chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals presented three awards to local philanthropists during its annual National Philanthropy Day luncheon at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

Honorees: The Mark Waldrop family was named 2012 Outstanding Philanthropists. Clif and Ruzha Cleaveland received the Leadership Fundraisers Award. John Shadden, owner of Starkey Printing Co., was named Corporate Philanthropist of the Year.

Wine auction benefits Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

What: Three Blind Wines was held at The Mill recently offering guests tastings of several wines and a silent auction. Admission for each team of one to two guests was the $30 ticket plus three bottles of wine (one red, one white and one duplicate). The first two were set out for tasting and voting, all duplicates were collected and awarded as a grand-prize to the winning team.
