A holiday concert by the Knoxville Chamber Orchestra and the Athens, Tenn.-based Our Three Tenors is set for Tuesday, Dec. 4, in the Athens Area Council for the Arts' Big Time/Small Town season of performances. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Athens City Middle School, 200 Keith Lane.
The orchestra, conducted by James Fellenbaum, will perform holiday favorites and selections by Brahms, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky. Athens singers Mike Simmons, Rusty Patterson and Tim Frazier, collectively known as Our Three Tenors, will provide vocal accompaniment.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. They may be purchased at the door or in advance at www.athensartscouncil.org by phone at 423-745-8781 or at The Arts Center, 320 N. White St., Athens.
The remaining two performances in the Big Time/Small Town season are Masters of Motown on Jan. 8 and Jake Shimabukuro on March 21.
