Tennessee Galvanizing will expand its Jasper, Tenn., facility, invest $2.3 million and create 35 manufacturing jobs, officials said today.

"We look forward to continually growing in Tennessee," said David S. Ware Sr., the company's chief executive, in a news release.

The company provides metal galvanizing, a process of coating a metal, usually iron or steel, with a protective covering of zinc.

The company has been in business for 20 years and will expand its current 23-acre location in order to handle a new centrifuge process and additional warehouse space.

"It's always great to hear Tennessee businesses choosing to expand and grow right where they are, especially when it benefits our rural communities," said Allen Borden, state Economic and Community Development assistant commissioner of statewide operations.
