One southbound lane of Interstate 75 will be closed Thursday between exits 328 (Carbondale Road) and 326 (U.S. Highway 41) in Whitfield County, Ga., according to a news release.
Mohamed Arafa, spokesman for the Georgia Department of Transportation, said the lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. so workers can repair deteriorated asphalt.
Motorists are asked to slow down and drive carefully when workers are present.
Travelers in Georgia can call 511 for updates on this and other GDOT maintenance and construction projects or to report incidents or request assistance.
