Chattanooga Fire Department extinguished fire at Brainerd United Methodist Church

The Chattanooga Fire Department extinguished a fire at Brainerd United Methodist Church last night.

The department said an alarm at 11:35 p.m. Sunday led to several fire companies responding.

It said a small fire was found inside the building and was quickly put out.

The damage was estimated at $4,000, the department said.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
