Chattanooga city services will begin repaving a block of Germantown Road between Brainerd Road and Audubon Drive. Southbound Germantown Road traffic will be allowed through the work zone while northbound traffic will be detoured to Brainerd Road.

The project is scheduled to begin today and last through Thursday with work taking place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Traffic is expected to be congested and officials recommended drivers take an alternate route if possible.
