A benefit concert has been scheduled Oct. 18 to raise money for the Rossville Public Library.
Tickets are $10 for a 7 p.m. performance by the Mid-South Concert Band at the Walker County Civic Center. The Mid-South Concert Band is an 82-piece band.
The concert was arranged and organized by Walker County Commissioner Bebe Heiskell.
The budget for the Cherokee Regional Library System, which manages the Rossville library, has been hit by cuts in state, city and board of education funding.
Tickets can be purchased at all branches of the Cherokee Regional Library System in LaFayette, Rossville, Chickamauga and Trenton, the Walker County Commissioner's Office, Community National Bank branches or at the door the night of the concert.
