A 19-year-old man was taken to a hospital today with non-life threatening injuries after he was shot inside a home at 3519 Third Ave.

Osha Morris was hit after a gunman shot at the back side of the house multiple times, said Chattanooga police Master Patrol Officer Nathan Hartwig.

It’s unclear if the teen was the target of the shooting or if it’s connected to the Monday night slaying of 25-year-old Leslie Townsend, Hartwig said. Townsend was gunned down in his driveway at 2302 E. 14th St.

Shermaine Menifee, 34, has been arrested in connection with Townsend's death, police say

No suspect information has been released in the shooting of Morris.
