Alabama man, woman arrested on meth charges

An Alabama man and woman have been arrested on meth charges, authorities said.

Jerry Mcarthur Ragan, 33, of Pisgah, Ala., and Jamie Michelle Summerford, 35, of Scottsboro, are charged with unlawful manufacturing of controlled substances, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

Both are in Jackson County Jail and bond has been set at $10,000 each, the release said.

On Tuesday, a deputy saw what he considered a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Rosalie Baptist Church on Alabama Highway 71 in Rosalie, the release said. While searching the vehicle, he found items used for the manufacture of methamphetamine, the release said.
