COLUMBIA — Princeton Harlan, a star quarterback for Mt. Pleasant who is being recruited by SEC schools, was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with rape of a child.
Anthony Bailey, a Maury County Sheriff’s Department detective, said the alleged victim was a girl from Mt. Pleasant who is under the age of 13.
“Rape of a child is different than rape,” Bailey said. “There’s no forced intercourse involved. Rape of a child is anybody under the age of 13 cannot consent to sex. It doesn’t matter if it’s forced or not forced.”
