Whitfield officers led on lengthy chase

A driver led Whitfield County, Ga., sheriff’s deputies on a 30-minute car chase Friday night, dispatchers said.

A Tunnel Hill, Ga., police officer initially thought the driver was intoxicated and attempted to stop the vehicle on Cottonwood Mill Road at about 7:45 p.m., dispatchers said. The driver refused to stop.

Deputies chased the suspect until about 8:15 p.m., when they were able to stop the vehicle and take everyone inside the vehicle into custody.
