Reward of $5,000 offered in suspected arson cases in Hamilton County

A $5,000 reward is being offered in two cases of suspected arson from earlier this month.

In the first incident on Oct. 2, a Molotov cocktail was tossed through the window of the door leading into the garage of a home at 7426 Igou Ferry Road, according to a news release from Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Janice Atkinson. The next day, another Molotov cocktail was thrown through the same window.

The Banther family, which lives in the home, is offering the reward for information that leads to an arrest, Atkinson said.

Anyone with information regarding this incident can call 423-209-8940.
