Ringgold man indicted on murder charges in girlfriend’s death

A Ringgold man was indicted on multiple murder charges, accused of beating his girlfriend to death.

Terry Saxton, who first told police he found his live-in girlfriend, Vicki Lacombe, 55, dead at the stairway of their apartment on July 9, was later charged with her death. Lacombe, who is from Canton, Ga., had broken bones and a head injury.

A Catoosa County grand jury indicted 50-year-old Saxton on Wednesday for malice murder, two counts of felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

In Saxton’s indictment, prosecutors said he struck Lacombe’s head and torso, then continued hitting her after she was dead.
