BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - One person has been killed and four injured during a gunfight outside the C C Night Club in Birmingham.

Police Sgt. Johnny Williams said officers were called to a parking lot early Saturday morning. He said suspects were firing their weapons, and one police officer opened fire.

One person was killed. Another was grazed by gunfire and treated at the scene. Three other people were taken to UAB hospital.

The name of the slain victim was not released by authorities. It was not immediately clear who fired the fatal shot.

No arrests were reported. The Alabama Bureau of Investigation was assisting city police in their ongoing probe.
