A Bradley County high school teacher was arrested today on suspicion of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old former student.
The grand jury indicted 32-year-old Christie David, who is a teacher at Walker Valley High School, on a charge of sexual battery by an authority figure, authorities said in a news release. Police began to investigate David on Sept. 27 and school officials placed her on leave.
David turned herself in today and she was released from jail on a $10,000 bond pending an initial appearance in criminal court, said sheriff’s office spokesman Bob Gault.
