Calhoun, Ga., police have arrested a man who they say wore a dress to rob and assault a woman Tuesday on Red Bud Road.

According to Chief Garry Moss, the victim told police she was walking near New Town Road and carrying her cellphone when she was confronted by a black male dressed as a woman. The victim said the man tried to take the phone by force. When he couldn't, he walked away, Moss said in a news release.

Based on information given by the victim, police on Wednesday arrested Courtney Williams, 24, of Calhoun, on charges of felony robbery and misdemeanor simple battery.

Williams remains in the Gordon County Jail with bond pending, according to the release.
