Chattanooga police do not think the 64-year-old woman who was shot Friday night at 2008 Blackford Street was targeted, public information officer Sgt. Wayne Jefferson said this afternoon.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was sitting on her daughter’s front porch just before 10:30 p.m. when she was shot in the leg, Jefferson said. Her injury is not life-threatening.
She told police she heard the shot but couldn’t tell where it came from, Jefferson said.
Police have no suspects in the case at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
