Soddy-Daisy police have arrested a 49-year-old man, accusing him of providing alcohol to a group of youths Friday evening that resulted in a 13-year-old being taken to the hospital.
Jeff O’Malley faces eight counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor after reportedly buying the alcohol and staying in a home at 928 Brook Run Drive, according to an incident report.
Police received several calls about a party at the residence and, about 10:40 p.m., stopped a nearby vehicle that had a 13-year-old boy passed out in the back seat. The teen had vomited and urinated on himself, the report said.
A few homes away, police found a 15-year-old vomiting while laying across a swing on a swing set, the report said. An ambulance was called but the teen was not taken to the hospital.
Two other youths were also intoxicated, according to the report.
The children were returned to their parents and all the alcohol was seized, police said.
Billy Hindman, 19, was also charged with possessing a set of brass knuckles and a hydrocodone pill.
Both O’Malley and Hindman have court dates set for Dec. 4 in Soddy-Daisy Municipal Court.
