People from Red Cross in Chattanooga deployed to help with Sandy recovery

Eight people from the American Red Cross in Chattanooga have been deployed to assist with the recovery in the wake of Sandy and its destruction in much of the country.

A news release from the organization said there are four people on standby from the organization locally.

The release said the Red Cross is assisting people in 13 states with shelter, food and other assistance.
