Quinn named to commission post
Attorney J. Bartlett Quinn has been elected secretary of the Tennessee Judicial Nominating Commission.
The 17-member commission reviews applications and makes recommendations to the governor for judicial vacancies on the state trial and appellate courts.
Quinn was appointed to the panel by Tennessee Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey.
Quinn practices labor and employment law with the Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel firm and serves on its executive committee.
Saunders picked as partner
Holly Saunders has been named a partner at Chattanooga-based accounting firm Johnson, Hickey & Murchison PC.
Saunders began working with JHM in 1993 after graduating from the University of Alabama with an accounting degree. She has extensive experience in the commercial construction industry, but also services clients in the rental real estate, retail, manufacturing and nonprofit industries.
In addition, she is involved in various business consulting areas, such as internal control reviews, business projections, and due diligence projects.
"We're so pleased that Holly is going to step into an even larger role with us at JHM," said Jeff Durham, the firm's managing partner.
Riggs lands recognition
Jody B. Riggs of Ameriprise Financial has qualified for the company's 2011 Circle of Success annual recognition program.
To earn the achievement, Riggs reached high levels in production, high client satisfaction levels and provided superior client service, the company said.
Only a select number of high-performing Ameriprise financial advisors earn this distinction, according to the company.
White receives sales award
Cherie White, a Chattanooga resident and independent executive director with The Pampered Chef, has received the One Million Dollar Sales Award.
The award recognizes consultants who, over their career with The Pampered Chef, have reached $1 million in personal sales.

Lemon joins Herman Walldorf
David Lemon has joined Herman Walldorf & Company Realtors Inc.'s residential sales team as a Realtor.
He brings over 20 years of professional sales experience combined with an extensive consumer-driven knowledge base, the company said.
Lemon has held the position as assistant vice president of the Better Business Bureau of South Central Louisiana.
He is an active member of Silverdale Baptist Church and is married to his wife, Susan. They have two daughters.
Eslinger named top producer
N. Chris Eslinger, a financial services representative for MetLife Southern Financial Group, has earned the company's Leaders Level of Recognition.
The recognition is awarded to MetLife top producers who meet high standards of personal integrity, professionalism, and customer service.
He has worked in the financial services industry for 30 years.
Health care association presents awards
The Tennessee Health Care Association has presented two awards to workers at Life Care Center of East Ridge and one to local newscaster Jed Mescon.
Winning the statewide Individual Volunteer of the Year Award was Josh Sosebee, a 16-year-old who has spent more than 1,150 hours helping at Life Care Center of East Ridge over the past year.
Also from Life Care Center of East Ridge, Sarah Thornton, laundry aide, received THCA's district-wide Caregiver of the Year Award. She was praised for her individual attention to residents and co-workers.
Mescon, anchor and reporter for WRCB-TV Channel 3, won THCA's statewide Long-Term Care Communicator Award. He has taken an active interest in the long-term care industry.
The Hamilton-Ryker Co. is continuing expansion of its commercial staffing division in Chattanooga.
Greg Ezell, business development manager, will drive the commercial staffing division concentrating on clerical, technical and skilled trade disciplines for business and industry, including back office operations, manufacturing, clerical administration and distribution.
"We are pleased with our progress in the Chattanooga market," said Kelly McCreight, president of Hamilton-Ryker.
Ezell began his career with Hamilton-Ryker in 2011 as business development manager focusing on information technology sales in Chattanooga.
Catterton returns to Tennessee
Dr. Will Catterton, who grew up in Chattanooga, has returned to the area after living in California and Maine to practice dentistry with Cleveland Dental Center.
He has experience in composite restorations, crowns, veneers, internal bleaching, surgical extractions, restoring implants, removable partials and dentures, oral facial pain, molar endodontics and pedo stainless steel crowns.
"We loved California and Maine, but it just wasn't home," he said.

Simmons joins Dalton company
David Simmons has been named vice president of the Capital Advisory Group in Dalton, Ga.
Simmons has 13 years of experience as a financial advisor in Dalton and Atlanta. He graduated from The McCallie School in Chattanooga and earned his degrees at Vanderbilt University in economics and human and organizational development. He and his wife, Leslie, and their two sons reside in Dalton.

Gross joins New Beginnings
Angela Gross, a licensed professional counselor and mental health service provider in Tennessee, has joined the New Beginnings Counseling Center.
Gross is certified as a Master's addiction counselor by the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors. She earned degrees from Tennessee Temple University and Lee University and is a board member of the Chattanooga Area Psychotherapy Association.
