Good deed: Community kicks in to aid soccer teams

A great big thank you goes out to a number of groups and individuals who, over the past few months, have given of their time and resources to bring much needed help to the Tyner's boys' and girls' soccer programs. Being a smaller, low-income, Title 1 school resources are few and far between.

There was a great response of community heroes who really pitched in and helped. Woodland Park Baptist Church was very gracious in allowing us to move to their athletic fields. Also helping us out were the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce, Volunteer Energy Cooperative, IMS Barter Systems, Tom Barringer, David Stewart, Dr. Mark Pollard, Dick's Sporting Goods, First Tennessee Bank and Ace Hardware on Lee Highway.

Thank you to each and every one of you. We couldn't do what we do without you!
