• ARTS IN THE PARK Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Veterans Park on Apison Pike in Collegedale. Free admission.

• BARBECUE Red Bank Masonic Lodge serving barbecue plates with baked beans and coleslaw, with dessert and beverage choice of tea or water, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today at Red Bank Community Center on Tom Weathers Drive behind Erlanger North off Morrison Springs Road. Cost is $8 per plate, $10 per pound.

• BARBECUE Signal Mountain Lions Club will serve barbecue as sandwiches ($5), platters ($7) and in bulk ($9) starting at 11 a.m. today in Althaus Park behind Signal Mountain Golf and Country Club, 809 James Blvd. Platters come with coleslaw, beans and bread.

• CAR SHOW The annual Labor Day Car & Motorcycle Show for the Al Millard Memorial Stocking Full of Love charity begins with registration at 8 a.m. today at Walker County Civic Center, 10053 Highway 27 North, Rock Spring, Ga. Event includes a NASCAR display, door prizes and more than 100 awards. Biscuit breakfasts and barbecue lunches will be available.
