Lee business department offering CMA Review

Beginning Sept. 12, Lee University's Department of Business will offer an instructor-led Certified Management Accountant exam preparation program to ready accounting professionals for the exam.

The CMA credential is the advanced professional certification for accounting professionals, administered by the Institution of Management Accountants.

Gregory Della Franco, program director and assistant professor of accounting at Lee, said the 18-week course mirrors the two parts of the CMA exam. It emphasizes IMA's CMA Learning System, printed materials, online components and the discipline of a classroom setting.

Part one, "Financial Planning, Performance and Control," begins Sept. 12, 6-9 p.m., in Walker Memorial Building on the Lee campus in Cleveland, Tenn. Classes will meet consecutive Wednesdays until Nov. 14. Part two, "Financial Decision Making," begins Jan. 16, concluding April 3.

The cost for the course, which includes all course materials, is $1,600; $1,550 for IMA members; and $1,500 for Lee alumni.
