A man and a woman have been arrested, charged with robbing two people in a church parking lot in East Ridge.

Allen Jermaine Horton, 30, and Brandi Leann King, 28, have been charged with felon theft and aggravated robbery, according to a news release from the East Ridge Police Department.

Both are scheduled to appear in East Ridge City Court on Nov. 20, said department spokesman Cpl. Robert Wade.

On Sunday, the two victims told police they were walking to their vehicles in the lot at the Church of Christ at 951 McBrien Road when a a Gold Jeep Cherokee pulled in.

A man exited the Cherokee, pulled a handgun and robbed the victims of their credit cards, cellphones and cash, Wade said.

The victims provided a possible license tag number and police later located the gold Cherokee with a license plate consistent with the description given, he said.

Recovered from the vehicle were the victims' stolen belongings and a plastic Airsoft pistol, Wade said.
