Terrell Robinson quits Chattanooga Mocs

Tuesday, September 4, 2012

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga sophomore quarterback Terrell Robinson quit the football team today, coach Russ Huesman said after practice.

The former South Pittsburg High School star and 2011 Southern Conference co-freshman of the year started last Saturday's season-opening loss at South Florida, but split playing time with redshirt freshman Jacob Huesman, the coach's son.

"Terrell has quit the team. No discipline issues whatsoever, no problems - he just decided that this was not for him," Russ Huesman said.

The fourth-year coach referred all questions about the situation to Robinson, who has not responded to a message left by the Times Free Press.
