Country music superstar Randy Owen will headline a Nov. 15 concert as part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the MaryEllen Locher Foundation at the Tivoli Theatre.

The Alabama frontman will perform along with a host of friends and special guests to raise money for the foundation, named in honor of the late WTVC anchorwoman. The organization helps families affected by breast cancer through college scholarships and breast cancer awareness initiatives.

The fundraiser will be a mixture of pink Hollywood glam and country celebration. The pink-carpet arrival will be complete with paparazzi and lights as breast cancer survivors receive a pink rose and sign their name on a star walk. Other highlights include the presentation of a scholarship during the 7:30 p.m. concert to surprise a local student and the student's family.

During its heyday, Alabama earned 21 gold records, 43 No. 1 hits and more than 150 industry accolades, including eight Entertainer of the Year awards, Grammys and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Owen has raised millions of dollars for schools, hospitals, youth ranches and tornado relief. His charitable work on behalf of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital earned him the prestigious Founder's Award. He serves as an advisory board member of the MaryEllen Locher Foundation.
