A 36-year-old woman from Sylvania, Ala., has been accused of forging a prescription for hydrocodone, authorities say.
Kristi Norine Phillips is charged with second-degree forgery, possession of controlled substances and second-degree theft of property, according to a release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. She is in the Jackson County Jail on $8,500 bond.
On Wednesday, sheriff's Narcotics Unit received a complaint of a suspicious prescription at a Jackson County pharmacy. Upon investigation, Phillips was found to be in possession of hydrocodone and was accused of forging another person’s name to the prescription, the release said.
