KNOXVILLE — Knoxville police are investigating the discovery of a woman's body found floating in Fort Loudoun Lake across from Sequoyah Hills Park this afternoon.
Authorities were alerted about 1:19 p.m. by a resident who first spotted the body from his back porch on Cherokee Boulevard.
The witness confirmed his suspicions with binoculars and then called E-911, according to Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk.
