Mammogram coach coming to Marion County Health Department

Memorial Health Care System's Mobile Health Coach will provide mammogram screenings for women at the Marion County Health Department from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release.

Women 40 and older who have not had a mammogram in the last 12 months are eligible, with or without insurance, by calling Memorial Hospital's MaryEllen Locher Breast Center at 423-495-4040 or toll-free, 866-591-2254.

Women will need to know their doctor's full name, and those with insurance will need to bring their insurance cards and a photo ID.

Grant funds to support the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center at Memorial and the Mobile Health Coach are from the Avon Breast Care Fund and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

The health department is at 24 E. Seventh St. in Jasper.
