• FILM SCREENING Chattanooga Film Society and Mise en Scenesters present "Reportero," about the dangers of reporting on the Mexican drug trade, in POV documentary film series at 6:30 p.m. today at the Downtown YMCA, 301 W. Sixth St. Free admission.

• SEPTEMBER SURPRISE This month's Southside Casual Classics concert is a youth showcase, featuring clarinetists Gretchen Hanna, eighth-grader at Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences, and Kelcy Brenner, a freshman at Ooltewah High School. Music starts at 7:30 p.m. today at The Camp House, 1427 William St.

• PATRIOT WEEK In honor of the 9/11 anniversary, Creative Discovery Museum, 321 Chestnut St., is granting free admission to police officers, firefighters, military personnel and their families through Sunday. Offer good for up to adults and two children with appropriate ID. 756-2738.
