Tennessee mother charged with child neglect after being shot by son

LENOIR CITY — Child neglect charges have been filed against a Loudon County mother who was accidentally shot in the head by her 11-year-old son after he found a pistol hidden in his bedroom.

Stacy Duggan, 36, was booked into the Loudon County jail today on one count of child neglect and for violation of probation, according to a jailer.

No bond has been set for Duggan, who is scheduled for a court arraignment Tuesday morning.
